Saint Petersburg state university of architecture and civil engineering hosted students from Bulgaria

On August, 04-13, 2015 Saint Petersburg state university of architecture and civil engineering hosted students of the faculty of architecture from University of architecture, engineering and geodesy (Sofia, Bulgaria).

During the internship guests of the university got acquainted not only with the activity of the higher education institutions, but also with the architecture of the Neva city.

On the very first day of visit to the university foreign students had an excursion about the chair of drawing, during which they were shown best works of students and professors. Foreign students were really impressed by the University’s library, they called it a treasury.

A rich culture proramme was prepared for students. During 10 days visitors had three parallel programmes. Students could choose what to visit: Central navy museum, highlight tour about the city or most interesting sites of Saint Petersburg.

During the highlight tour over the city students from Bulgaria saw many marvelous examples of architecture. Firstly, they enjoyed fabulous panorama of the Neva city. Future architects could feel ties between objects of construction.

Guests of the university visited suburbs of Saint Petersburg (Pushkin, Peterhof) and objects of the Northern capital itself. In particular, they visited the Hermitage, Peter and Paul fortress, Headquarters arch, Anichkin bridge, Summer garden, Split Blood Cathedral, church of St. Pantelemon and etc. Moreover they had an excursion about Saint Petersburg academy of art and industry named after A.L. Schtiglits and Academy of arts. Greatest impression was made by the colonnade of St. Isaac Cathedral where they could watch the gorgeous panorama of the city.
