  • Irina Lugovskaya, First Vice Rector,
  • Svetlana Petrova, Head of the Department of International Cooperation,
  • Elena Selezneva, Associate professor from the Department of Foreign Languages

Семинар для представителей университетов Финляндия РоссияAt the seminar experts from Poland, Russia, Finland and Estonia told about the research held at their universities. Students and prospective employer representatives also visited the event.

SPbGASU and XAMK have been cooperating since 1992, and they signed a double degree program agreement for Building Engineering Systems and Ecological Engineering in 2008.

During that time 84 SPbGASU students have received double diplomas, although they have spent only a year for studying at the programme

Svetlana Petrova: ‘SPbGASU is XAMK key partner in double degree programme. We are proud that the majority of participating students are from our University’.

Together with the seminar the alumni reunion was organized in Mikkeli. Svetlana Petrova was curious about the ex-student opinion on their study: ‘The alumni note two completely different approaches to education. In Russia a student received classical, fundamental and theoretical education, though in Finland one has lots of practical lessons and spends much time in laboratories. These two strategies complement each other perfectly and thus unique specialists are trained’.
