Students of SPSUACE - participants of Baltic International Summer School (BISS)

In August 2018 students of the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Faculty of Architecture of SPSUACE Yu. Lagutkina, V. Poplavskaya and P. Talashmanov studied at the Baltic International Summer School (BISS) at Hamburg University of Hafen City (Germany).

The participants of BISS had been working out a draft solution to the urban development problem for 9 days. The program included lectures given by the teachers from European universities on design and town planning, consultations with specialists in the field of construction, architecture and urban planning.

“My team consisted of one Armenian man and two girls: from Slovenia and from Poland. We had to figure out how to improve the place where the crossroads are. The idea of our project was to use structures that, reacting to changes in the external environment, can move by means of mechanisms, "Pavel Talashmanov said.

The peculiarity of BISS is the interdisciplinary approach to work. Students of SPSUACE received useful experience, made new acquaintances and saw the sights of Hamburg.
