Representatives of SPSUACE took part in the action devoted to the Memory Day of soldiers-internationalists

On15th February, 2018 students and employees of SPSUACE took part in the action devoted to the Memory Day of soldiers-internationalists and the 29 anniversary of a withdrawal of Soviet troops from Afghanistan. A solemn ceremony of putting on flowers to the monument to soldiers lost in Afghanistan took place in the park of Internationalists. A meeting with more than two thousand participants was opened by the head of the Frunzensky area Valery Sapozhnikov. After this the chairman of the Committee on social policy Alexander Rzhanenkov, the federal inspector across St.-Petersburg Tatyana Kubrakova, the Deputy of Legislative Assembly of St.-Petersburg, the chairman of the profile commission on affairs of veterans, the chairman of St.-Petersburg councils and Leningrad regional branches of the All-Russia public organization of veterans «Fighting Brotherhood», a veteran of war in Afghanistan - Igor Vysotsky addressed to the public. There was organized a field-kitchen and a weapon exhibition for the participants of the action.

More than 26 thousand veterans of war operations, 3 thousand of whom - veterans of the war in Afghanistan live in St.-Petersburg.
