A seminar «New in the systems of road and transport traumatism prevention» took place in SPSUACE

On 20th October, 2016 at St.-Petersburg state university of architecture and civil engineering a next seminar «New in systems of road and transport traumatism prevention» took place. Founders of the seminar –the Committee on legality, law regulations and safety of the Government of St.-Petersburg, auto-road faculty of SPSUACE, Training centre ADF SPSUACE, Institute of traffic safety of SPSUACE.

The given seminars are held according to the plan of realization of a government program of St.-Petersburg «Maintenance of legality, law regulations and safety in St.-Petersburg» for 2015-2020 (point 7 of the list of actions of the subroutine 2 «Complex measures on traffic safety in St.-Petersburg»).

The seminar target audience included the representatives of municipal unions responsible for maintenance of traffic safety; employees of the city and regional commissions on traffic safety maintenance; members of profile committees of Administration of St.-Petersburg and public organizations.

Representatives of Administration of traffic safety inspection of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia across St.-Petersburg and Leningrad region told about dynamics of accidents in St.-Petersburg, about problems on the prevention of a road and transport traumatism in city districts, and also about transportations of the organized groups of children.

In reports of experts of auto-road faculty of SPSUACE key directions of activity on preventive maintenance of the road and transport traumatism, technology of the organization of this activity and their practical realization were considered.

A special attention was given to a theme of formation of safe model of behavior of participants of movement and its separate elements: information (knowledge, experience, understanding, comprehension, acceptance); social environment ( behavior estimation, social leveling); road arrangement and car equipment; control, punishments and encouragements. It was especially underlined that the safe model of behavior can be supported only in all directions simultaneously. Working with children, it is necessary to work in parallel with adults, drawing their attention to the analysis of own road behavior.

Lecturers considered behavior of drivers from a psychological point of view, raised a question of installation of photo- and video fixing systems of traffic accidents and their efficiency in the Russian practice, discussed actual problems of a technical condition control of vehicles.

On the video bridge more participants joined the seminar from Arkhangelsk and Finland who shared their experience in creation of the safe and comfortable environment for residing. In Scandinavian countries a key role is played by local government. At high level of automobilization (about 500 cars on 1000 persons) there were created safe and comfortable settlements convenient for people and their economic activities.

The participants of the seminar noted an urgency and use of the received information and expressed hope that similar actions will take place and in the future.
