At the chair of geotechnics of Saint Peterrsburg state university of architecture and civil engineering there started two initiative educational projects

At the chair of geotechnics of Saint Petersburg state university of architecture and civil engineering there started two initiative educational projects of professors Anatoly I. Osokin and Sergey V. Lanko “Architecture and design: degree project”.

In the project of A.I. Osokin there participates group 3-SUZS-3, which has classes held in the form of business games and case solutions. Students have to develop main concepts of development of the underground space of the central part of Saint Petersburg (plochshad Vosstaniya, Konniushennaya plochshad and others) and later defend their solutions to the committee consisting of invited experts. They also plan to visit engineering sites, project organizations, museums and etc.

S.V. Lanko’s project is aimed at work of students of various specialties, education programmes and faculties upon their degree thesis. It is planned to develop a degree thesis by different chairs including architects, construction engineers, geotechnics engineers, and technology engineers. At the project there participates the chair of architectural design (V.F. Perov), chair of building constructions (chair of reinforced concrete constructions A.O. Khegai and A.A. Veselov), chair of geotechnics (S.V. Lanko), chair ofconstruction operations (A.N. Gaido). Within the frame of the experiment in the project there also participated specialists of the “Global-EM” company.

Project’s participants are students of the faculty of architecture, of the faculty of civil engineering – specialties “Engineering” and “Construction of unique buildings and structures”.
