Representatives of Saint Petersburg state university of architecture and civil engineering took part in the international scientific events in Florence
On November 15-18, 2015 at Italian city Florence there took place the Second International seminar “Role of education for culture of the world and the human development”. Almost at the same time on November 18-22, 2015 in Florence there also took place the 7th International conference “Modern problems of architecture and engineering”.
At these two events there took an active part representatives of Saint Petersburg state university of architecture and civil engineering: vice-rector for scientific activity Evgeny B. Smirnov and deans of the faculties and heads of the chairs.
The scientific events were aimed at exchange of scientific opinions, ideas and views within the scientific society in the sphere of architecture and engineering.
Saint Petersburg state university of architecture and civil engineering proposed to create an Association of architectural higher education institutions and signed the Declaration of intents together with the Romualdo Del Bianco Fund.
Romualdo Del Bianco Fund was established in 1998 by famous architect of Florence Paolo Del Bianco in memory of his father. The Fund supports youth contacts, aimed at acquaintance with the cultural heritage of Europe and cooperation of students of universities of various countries of the world. Annual conferences and seminars held by the Fund are devoted to topical issues of culture, economics, architecture and art.
Participation of our delegation in the seminar and the conference contributed to search of new international ties and strengthening of old contacts with foreign higher education institutions. As dean of the faculty of architecture Sergey V. Sementsov said “professionals speak the same language. And this is great!”.
