At Saint Petersburg state university of architecture and civil engineering there was held a topical lesson “Origin, fate and role of state symbols in the history of Russia”
On September 30, 2015 in the Assembly Hall of Saint Petersburg state university of architecture and civil engineering there was held a topical lesson “Origin, fate and role of state symbols in the history of Russia”. At the meeting there were over 600 students of the first course studying the subject “History”. Lecture of PhD in history, associate professor of the chair of history and philosophy E.P. Guryeva was devoted to the history of the Russian state emblem development in 16-21st centuries and its prehistory. The professor tracked development of the state emblem, changes during the Moscow state period, Russian empire, during RSFSR, USSR and the Russian Federation. There was also given explanation of the reasons why emblem changed and meaning of heraldic symbols. Students were shown a video of changes of the state symbol of the Russian Federation in dynamics.
The lecture provoked much interest of students.
