International students at the Northern Cultural Forum

SPbGASU students had a rich program. The forum opened with the Creative Industries block, consisting of speeches by famous speakers from the fields of design, decorative and interactive art, and of master classes. At the end of the program, participants could communicate with each other in an informal setting.

A fourth-year student of the Faculty of Architecture Navindu Sachintha:

— Since I am a future architect, I am interested in attending master classes by masters of this profession. It was very useful: they gave advice on professional development, talked about career development.

In the following days, experts in the field of culture, i.e., cultural experts, anthropologists, musicians, filmmakers and artists delivered speeches and presentations.

“We were lucky to get acquainted with many creative people and art lovers. I particularly remember the pitching of theater projects, i.e., presenting ideas for future productions to producers,” said Elena Romanovskaya, a second-grade student at the Faculty of Civil Engineering.

According to Nadezhda Zakusilova, who is a first-year student at the Faculty of Civil Engineering, due to the large number of speakers and events, the breaks between them were short, and that kept the participants well-toned.

At the end of the forum, its partakers were invited to a concert of the Komi Republic Song and Dance Ensemble and to a performance of the V. Savin State Academic Drama Theatre.
