On February 14, 2019, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Laboratory was opened in SPbGASU with support of LG Electronics. It became the first one of this kind in Saint Petersburg and the second one in Russia.

I am happy to be present at official opening of the laboratory in a most famous university. We are going to present technologies and experience on VRF systems which are familiar to LG for more than 20 years. I am sure it would be a pleasure to study here.
Opening of a new Laboratory starts long-term cooperation between LG Electronics and SPbGASU. A branch of Air Conditioning and Energy Saving LG Academy will be based on the University.
Who can work in the Laboratory?
The Laboratory is for undergraduate and postgraduate students, Professional Development Degree and Continuing Professional Development students who study microclimate issues, air conditioning and refrigeration. It is equipped with VRF (Variable Refrigerant Flow) and MULTI V systems and also with centralized control and dispatch systems.
What opportunities does the Laboratory have?
The Laboratory equipment lets students study composition of operating air conditioning systems, determine their efficiency, quietness and cost effectiveness. Aleksey Ogibalov, Leader of Air Conditioning Study Center of LG Electronics in Russia, guarantees that the students will get theoretical and practical knowledge in climate system maintenance by the example of real products.
What plans does the Laboratory have?
The Laboratory is going to be the base for theoretical, practical and laboratory studies. The latest research results in climate control systems and energy saving engineering systems in construction will be also exhibited here.
