SPbGASU Delegation Visits Milan and Florence

From November 12 to 16 SPbGASU delegation visited Polytechnic University of Milan and Faculty of Architecture (University of Florence, Italy). The delegation consisted of Irina R. Lugovskaia, First Vice Rector, Fedor V. Perov, Dean of Faculty of Architecture, Svetlana V. Bochkareva, Head of the Department of Architectural Design, and Olga G. Kokorina, Deputy Dean of Faculty of Architecture. Bachelor and Master students who won term paper contest 2018 joined the delegation.

Through the negotiations the parties determined ways of cooperation under Erasmus+ and student exchange programmes including common Master theses. Fedor V. Perov also read a lecture about SPbGASU architecture school, methods and results of architectural education.

At University of Florence SPbGASU representatives held international training workshop Architecture and Public Space Features in Historical City. Russian and Italian research groups analyzed public spaces in Saint Petersburg and Florence and presented their works. Under the workshop Ricardo Butini, Professor of the Faculty of Architecture real a lecture about Florence reconstruction issues, architectural heritage conservation and projects of famous Florence cathedrals. The lectures came with excursions to Florence public spaces.
