SPSUACE is at the 18th International Conference on Geometry and Graphics

In August 2018, Milan hosted the 18th International Conference on Geometry and Graphics. The conference was attended by the Senior Teacher of the Department of Descriptive Geometry and Engineering Drawing of SPSUACE O. V. Melnikova, who gave a presentation entitled "Descriptive Geometry as a tool for developing creative abilities of students-architects".

In total, the event, held under the auspices of the International Society for Geometry and Graphics (ISGG), was attended by more than 250 people from 35 countries. This event takes place every two years in different cities of the world. This year's conference was dedicated to the work of Leonardo da Vinci.

The work of the conference was organized according to the following topics: theoretical knowledge, computer technology, education, history, applied sciences. At the same time, 7 sessions were held, where a wide range of research was presented: from fundamental to actual applied in science and technology at the moment. There were also some achievements in education, industrial design and many other areas.

The participants had some excursions in Bergamo, visited the famous refectory of the monastery of Santa Maria delle Grazie and saw the fresco of Leonardo da Vinci's “Last Supper” personally.
