Students of M.S. Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences (Bangalore, India) on the training and familiarization practice in SPSUACE

In summer 2018 students of M.S. Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences (Bangalore, India) had the training and familiarization practice "Aspects of modern construction" in SPSUACE.

The trainees got information about the technology and organization of construction production in Russia and the technology of manufacturing prefabricated reinforced concrete objects; learned to determine the physical and mechanical properties of wood; found out about bridge construction of Saint-Petersburg.

Foreign students got acquainted with the university, visited the Museum of Petersburg Brick History, the library and faculty laboratories. The number of construction sites visited within the program included protective facilities on the Gulf of Finland and the Lakhta Center complex. In the training center "KNAUF North-West" the trainees were told about the building finishing materials and plastering technology. The Dean of the Faculty of Environmental Engineering and Municipal Services of SPSUACE E.A. Shesterov gave an open thematic lesson "Water Supply and Wastewater Disposal".

At the final meeting the Dean of the Faculty of Civil engineering of Saint-Petersburg State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering A.N. Panin stressed that this knowledge could be used in student’s activity successfully. Foreign guests shared their impressions and got many warm wishes. The head of UMOiS of SPSUACE V.A. Artemyeva invited Indian students to take Master Degree Course and Postgraduate Course of SPSUACE.
