The scientific-practical seminar "Actual problems of modern construction and architecture" was held in Saint-Petersburg State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering

On June 5, 2018 the scientific-practical seminar "Actual problems of modern construction and architecture" was held in Saint-Petersburg State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering. The participants of the seminar were heads of corporations and representatives of government bodies of the People's Republic of China. SPSUACE was represented by the first Vice Rector I.R. Lugovskaya, the head of the department of international education and cooperation V.A . Artemyeva, deans and deputy deans of faculties, heads of subdivisions.

The Chinese delegates showed interest in practical preparation in SPSUACE, questions were asked about the formation of practical skills of students. The Dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering A.N. Panin described the system of practices in the university, the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Management G.F. Tokunova explained the system of basic departments, their appointment and cooperation with large companies, the Dean of the Automobile and Road Building Faculty S.M. Grushetsky noted the demand for students and graduates from large companies that provide places for practice, as well as job-placement graduates. Foreign guests visited the Museum of History of one of the oldest technical universities in Russia, visited the scientific and technical library and laboratories.

According to the speech of I.R. Lugovskaya, about 700 foreign students are studying at the university, including students from the People's Republic of China. SPSUACE has partner universities in China: Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture, Henan University of Urban Construction and others. Teachers regularly go to Chinese universities to give lectures. One of the recent trips was reported in the news of May 16, 2018.
