Current Issues of Energy Saving in “Smart City”

On September 20 a round table “Issues of Energy Saving and Priority Programme ‘Umniy Sankt-Peterburg’” took place in SPbGASU project office “Smart City”. Leading scientists of SPbGASU took part in the event supported by Saint-Petersburg Energy and Engineering Committee. The purpose of the round table was to find effective ways for energy use reduce.

The oldest technical university of Russia, SPbGASU develops the ways of energy saving which may be helpful for the city and people. Heads of the university departments prepared and presented theses about engineering systems monitoring and management, technologies of public buildings energy saving improvement, “Smart City” urbanized environment operation algorithms and concepts of power systems in smart buildings. Department of Heat and Gas supply and Ventilation, Municipal Facilities, Geodesy, Land Management and Cadastres, Engineering Physics and Chemistry, Technosphere Safety and Power Energetics and Equipment participated in the event.
