Diploma works of graduates of SPSUACE received awards of the international competition

From 18 till 25th September, 2016 XXV International review-competition of graduating works on architecture and design was held in Novosibirsk. 37 works of graduates of St.-Petersburg state university of architecture and civil engineering were awarded Diplomas of I degree; 4 works received Diplomas of II degree.

The international review-competition also included a competition of methodical and educational literature. SPSUACE presented three books, and all of them received the highest awards:

• Kurbatov Y. I. «Sketches on the theory of form making» (I degree Diploma of Ministry of Environmental Protection; Diploma of Academic council).
• Kolodin K. I. « Interior of country street» (I degree Diploma of Ministry of Environmental Protection; Awardee of Ministry of Environmental Protection).
• Sementsov S.V. Album of the best diploma works ((I degree Diploma of Ministry of Environmental Protection).

The given review-competition is the successor to traditions of All-Union review-competition of diploma works of architectural high schools and faculties, which was founded in 1966. The founder of modern International review-competition is the Inter-regional public organization of assistance to architectural education( Ministry of Environmental Protection), with support of leading coordinators of the Russian professional architectural education: the Union of architects of Russia, the Union of designers of Russia, the Russian academy of architecture and building sciences, the Russian academy of arts, the International association of the union of architects, J.Chernihov's Fund, L.Hidekel's Fund.

This time the organizer was Novosibirsk state university of architecture, design and arts .728 works from 55 cities of Russia and six foreign countries participated.

Within the limits of this competition the dean of the faculty of architecture of SPSUACE S. V.Sementsov ran master classes on restoration, which were of great popularity among participants.
